A project to encourage collaboration for our Studio & Entrepreneurship module.
THE PROBLEM:

Many creative introverts often struggle with creating means for collaboration whether that be finding the time for side projects, reaching out to those in opposing industries, can feel isolating.
We were tasked with developing a digital tool or process from our findings. My survey identified key problems including 'making first contact' and the 'constant messaging/communication' when working on jobs can be disruptive. Everyone's ideal number to collaborate with was one or two other people at a maximum.
THE SOLUTION:
The Bottle Hack is an initiative that enables designers to make meaningful connections and build their network slowly...
Stepping back from the fast-paced and intense ways of working many designers have become accustomed to. This brief-based process harnesses the power of introverts and uses asynchronous methodologies to collaboratively work together.

Mood Board

So, who is it for and how does it work?

Creatives and designers from any industry background can sign up and create a profile on 'The Bottle Hack' website stating their name, industry and sample of work.
Members receive their first 'Welcome Pack'.
Choose their length of time they're committed to the scheme from 3, 6 or 12 months. Each month they are sent a 'bottle' with info of a potential connection which they can accept or refuse up to two times. The connection info includes industry and sample of their previous work.
Once accepted: both receive pre-determined brief pack online and through the post.
